Fraser Rooms
The Fraser Wing was named after Miss Sarah Jane Fraser, a brilliant classics graduate of the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ of Melbourne. She worked as an English teacher and advocated for the importance of women having access to higher education. Her generous bequest of £38,000 after her passing in 1931 made it possible to complete the 'Third Wing' of the College. In recognition of her significant contribution, the wing was named after her and was opened in 1958.
Renovated in 2022, our Fraser rooms are located within easy access to the tutorial spaces, common rooms and dining hall. The rooms have large windows - those with a north-facing aspect overlook the kitchen garden and attract a lot of natural light throughout the day. The south-facing rooms have a larger floor-plan and overlook the shady McEwan Courtyard. All rooms are carpeted.
Each level of the Fraser Wing has a shared bathroom. With further bathrooms accessible in Leggatt 2 and 3. Students in this wing utilise the large laundry on the top floor of Leggatt.
All Fraser rooms have a double bed, mattress/mattress protector, two pillows, desk/chair, bedside table, lamp, fan, bin, blinds (including a privacy blind) and a wardrobe with hanging space, shelving and full-length mirror.
